Magnesium plastic collated framing nailer / metal connector nailer. This new framing nailer drives 1-1/2- to 3-1/2-inch framing nails and comes with an interchangeable tip for placing nails accurately for metal connector applications. You get the benefit of two tools in one, no other competitive framer can match that. This light weight tool is also one of the most powerful framers with 1050 in./lbs. of driving power. It is able to tackle even tough engineered lumber applications. Tool also includes bolt on steel wear guards with integrated rubber skid pads, and printed magazine with scale and 16-inches-on-center layout feature. New smart trigger works as a sequential and bump fire trigger base on how you actuate the tool.

An excellent choice. The positivie placement tip has always worked especially well for me and sets this apart from any other nail gun. Purchased this a couple of years ago. Do not use real often but when I do, it is an excellent tool Used to set deck and expecially useful on installatoin of the framing clips and hurricane clips.

Two other guys on the job changed over to these.It is a little on the heavy side, but then again so am I. Reliable, powerfull, great for toenailing. Never take my coil nailer out of the truck anymore.

It is surprisingly light for it's size, and has excellent power. The plastic debris from the nail clips does make a mess - wearing good eye protection is a must. I bought this nailer specifically to use the Hurriquake nails on earthquake reinforcement projects. Its been a pleasure to use and have had only a couple of misfeed nails.

I would highly reccomend this nailer for anyone who is installing a lot of metal connectors, it cuts the connector installation time down by at least 50%. This is a great nail gun if your looking to install metal connectors and do normal framing work. Its very easy to switch from the standard nail to the metal connector nails, its just a matter of switching the nose piece out with a push of a button.
